PhotonPay Attends the 4th China Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair
Company News | 2024-03-20 06:03:00
On March 18, the 4th China Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair, hailed as the "No.1 Cross-border E-commerce Exhibition in China" by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, grandly opened at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center. As a leading global payment platform, PhotonPay was invited to attend, joining cross-border sellers, platform providers, influencers, financial experts, suppliers, and service providers from around the world to discuss industry trends and participate in this industry-wide event.
High-Quality Global Expansion
With the recent National People's Congress, cross-border e-commerce has been included in the government work report for the 11th consecutive year, evolving from "cross-border e-commerce" to "digital trade" and now to "promoting the healthy development of new business models like cross-border e-commerce." Supported by national policies, cross-border e-commerce and other new forms of foreign trade have maintained a rapid growth trajectory.
According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China’s cross-border e-commerce exports grew by 19.6% in 2023, far exceeding the overall foreign trade export growth rate of 0.6%. Cross-border e-commerce has become a vital driver of China’s foreign trade and a new engine for high-quality development.
Against this backdrop, the current exhibition attracted over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 30 global cross-border e-commerce platforms, including Amazon Global Selling, Alibaba International, TikTok Shop, Mercado Libre, and Walmart, as well as from over 80 export-oriented industrial zones and 110 cities nationwide. Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, the exhibition features six main areas: the Cross-border E-commerce Suppliers Area, Platforms Area, Service Providers Area, Industrial Belt and Comprehensive Pilot Zone Area, ASEAN Countries Area, and the Exhibition Summit Forum and Supporting Activities Area.
Market Potential in ASEAN Countries
The theme of this year's Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair is "Connecting the Full Cross-border Ecosystem, Building a New E-commerce Ecology," focusing on new markets, new channels, new trends, and new perspectives. The event not only introduced new international exhibition areas and live-streaming zones for international influencers but also invited dozens of influencers from Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to live-stream and sell products. For the first time, the exhibition was "festivalized," enhancing the on-site experience with a younger and trendier approach, creating a carnival for the cross-border e-commerce industry.
Under the guidance of the "Belt and Road Initiative," ASEAN countries continue to unlock trade development potential, with Southeast Asian countries, in particular, seeing rapid growth in cross-border e-commerce. Many Chinese sellers and foreign trade companies have gradually established themselves locally, which has, in turn, spurred the rapid development of supporting service trades such as cross-border payments, overseas warehousing, international logistics, and overseas marketing, significantly improving the convenience and compliance of cross-border trade.
To better assist businesses expanding into Southeast Asia in overcoming cross-border payment challenges and reducing collection costs, PhotonPay continues to enhance local acquiring services in Southeast Asian countries. It has also established partnerships with major Southeast Asian e-commerce platforms like TikTok Shop and Shopee, meeting the diverse payment needs of businesses operating internationally.
One-stop Payment Solutions
As one of the leading global payment service providers, PhotonPay was invited to attend this event, showcasing its safer, more convenient, and more efficient one-stop global payment solutions at Booth 3A01-02, helping cross-border sellers worldwide to streamline their payment processes.
The PhotonPay team engaged in one-on-one discussions with customers, addressing issues such as account opening, supported currencies for local collection, currency exchange, and exchange rate risk management, providing practical solutions to help international trade businesses overcome payment challenges.
Only one day remains in the exhibition, with more exciting activities to come! The PhotonPay team will be onsite throughout the event, ready to welcome all business partners and customers!
